I've been neglecting this blog because I've decided to go old school and actually write in a journal

Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego? Check wikipedia and you'll find her
whenever i watch a show from the past and i see an actor that i may recognize but don't remember or, just an actor whose character name i know but not their real name (if i miss the credits) or i want to find out background info of a tv/movie i just watched, i almost always end up at wikipedia.
i've driven my mom crazy saying "who's that person? i have to remember to check wikipedia and see if i can find them" and then after i find out who they were i probably bothered her more by telling her the life story of that actor and what they're up to now. retro television provides the best stuff. it's the best website I've been to in a while and i use it mostly for tv info. it's were i found out that Leroy from "Fame" died from an AIDS related illness.
lately though, i've been searching through wikipedia to expand my knowledge on things that i may have become curious about. there was a time where i had about 6 months of free mobile internet and each night i sifted through wikipedia for info on the most random things before i went to sleep. i learned about the most random things. some honestly were nsfw based. the rest, and majority, were uncategorized. the sexuality portal there is probably one of the most interesting things i've read through. i'm definitely not a prude or whore, for that matter, but i've become very informed and what i learned will absolutely be put to good use ;)
It's become a go to source for a lot of media outlets now, but it's a place where people can edit what's there. I too have contributed to the online encyclopedia, but mostly for editing minor grammar mistakes or adding relevant missing info. other than what i've done there, it makes me wonder if what's there is at least 90% truth or what parts have been exaggerated to give whatever article a positive, negative or vandalized kinda funny spin, for example articles of celebrities, musicians like Pete Wentz (i'm glad that page is locked from editing) and past and present members of PATD (no !), and even mega evil big box corporations. like most things on the internet i take what's on there with a few tablespoons of salt. i use what's there and just a grain simply won't do.

Stopping to smell the roses ring more truly now
Hedonism isn't a dirty word. the puritanical prudes made it seem dirty when by definition the word simply means a state of relaxed, carefree bliss from the traffic-laden world.
this book will change the way i view life from here on out. when I'm out on my own in the world, most of my decisions will have been based on what i learned from this book. this western society is too fast at times. people are trying to get things done faster, which makes them busier and it leaves them no time to really enjoy life and do things that make them truly happy. most people are doing things to make other people happy. it's not a selfish thing to make yourself happy at all.
people are literally competing to be the most successful or the most famous and they forget the basic pleasures. you don't have to be constantly busy with work and chores. That's why the smart ones retreat to places where they can get away and relax for a while. they are less stressed out in the end. By doing that it also makes them more productive in the working world. Things like sleeping or doing something fun have been thrown to the wayside, because some people think it only gets in the way on their way to the top. I vow to always get at least 8 hours of sleep a day and make it a necessity to relax and have fun because maybe in 20 years that may seem like something only the lucky can get.
this book is basically a guide to getting the most out of enjoying life. it's a humourous book too, because there are so many books like this one out there that are too serious.

question.
why do i sign up for things when i know i won't be able to follow through in completing it?
I bought a notebook with the hopes of being able to write my thoughts down. I haven't written in it for weeks.
I join forums, and websites and rarely remember to visit them again.
I start art projects and they sit, hopelessly unfinished and gathering dust.
I say "i'll talk to you later!" When "later" is really months from now.
I say "i'll work on it ms. therapist" when as soon as the words leave my mouth they're forgotten, only to be remembered when i meet them again.
I wish that like computers, we could truly be made-over and released again as a "New and Improved!!" version of our former self, with past problems erased from memory.
However, those memories will only be brought up by skeptics wondering if you're really different.

My Hair Smells Like Coconuts
i'm growing out my hair. No Relaxers for a while
21 Days 'til Christmas. I'm hoping it's a good one. the snow is making me happy
I've reflected on what i've done this year and it wasn't much.
Anxiety played a huge part in what i could and couldn't do in 2007.
I really hope that 2008 will be different. I said the same thing in 2006 about '07 and the same about '06 in '05. i feel that because i'm a bit more mature, that i'll actually have my hope come into fruition.
I made a list of "Things I Want to do, Goals I want to Accomplish" I'm aiming to have 100+ things on this list but so far, i'm at 65.
So here are the first 25 things on this list and i'll add more later.

you'll shoot your eye out
or rather yule shoot your eye out. I love that Fall Out Boy song and I'm probably going to listen to it a lot like i usually do around Christmas.
Fave Holiday Songs:
12 days of christmas-taking back sunday
yule shoot your eye out-fall out boy
winter wonderland-jessica simpson and ozzy osbourne
Mr Grinch- Thurl Ravenscroft.
what's this-fall out boy
It finally snowed. however, the weatherpersons report that the snow on the ground won't be around for the next few days until wednesday. although i was born in the spring, i love the winter a lot
There's one month until Christmas. last year i wasn't so excited about it but hopefully it'll be different this year. the anxiety attacks i get usually puts a hold on where i go, but i'm working on it.
One thing different about this christmas is that the tbs station i usually have has changed to "peachtree tv" so i'm going to miss the 24 hour "A Christmas Story" marathon :( . I'm beyond pissed. I really should go out and buy the dvd. though the fun was being able to watch it on tv 24 hours straight.
christmas doesn't seem like it's going to be so good this year
bah humbug
